Each year the village of Saint Genies de Fontedit hosts a summer fete that runs over 4 nights. The fun includes bands and DJs so lots of dancing; funfair stalls and tapas stands. There is always a village dinner where everyone sits together on long tables chatting merrily and eating from a set menu (and drinking from the bar of course!) This year our family of 20 attended the meal and after the initial chaos of buying tokens to pay for the drinks, we tucked into a delicious meal of tomato, olive and onion salad, a tarte clemontaise (meat, potatoes, veg and gravy) followed by a yummy nectarine and crème anglaise tart for dessert! We all had a fabulous evening and of course the dogs joined in to wearing their fete 2023 bandanas! The fete is usually held in the first week of August so if you are visiting then you are in for a treat!
